About the Tour

Once a year a selection of distinguished properties, including private homes and bed & breakfasts, open their doors for the Stillwater Historic Homes Tour.  Peek inside grand homes and revel in the elegance of Victorian architecture, details, and ambiance. This event directly supports the Washington County Historical Society.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to visit the homes in a specific order?

Homes may be visited in any order. A ticket is required for each person and allows you to enter each property once.

How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets are available beginning at 11:30AM in front of the Warden's House Museum (602 N Main St, Stillwater, MN 55082). All sales are final.

Where do I pick up my will call tickets?
Will call tickets can be picked up beginning at 11AM in front of the Warden's House Museum (602 N Main St, Stillwater, MN 55082)

 

Should I remove my shoes when entering the homes?
Blue booties are provided for you to slip over your shoes. You can also remove your shoes before entering if you prefer. 

 

Can I take Pictures?
Photography is welcome outside of the homes, please no interior pictures.

 

Are restrooms available?
Public restrooms are marked on the map. Please do not use the bathroom in the homes.

 

Is it okay to bring my coffee/water/beverage of choice? 
Enjoy your snacks and beverages prior to entering the home. Better yet, visit one of our sponsors for a bite to eat!

What is the Washington County Historical Society all about?

The Washington County Historical Society (WCHS) is a nonprofit organization  that was founded in 1934. Our mission is to collect, preserve, and disseminate the history of Washington County and the State of Minnesota. We are generously supported by members and grants. All money raised by this tour will go toward WCHS programs and facilities. for more information visit us at www.wchsmn.org
